Having graduated from the photojournalism major at San Francisco State University, Lauren uses photography and journalism to tell stories about social, personal and political issues in a simple yet thought-provoking way. She has used her education to study in Europe—covering issues from the legalization of heroin in Århus, Denmark to the reintegration of ex-political prisoners into Northern Ireland’s society. Upon returning to the United States, Lauren has continued to cover issues affecting her local community and actively looks for captivating stories and fascinating events to cover.
Lauren is comfortable with both technical and conversational writing and enjoys combining elements of both to explain complicated topics is relatable ways. She has experience covering technology news and has first-hand knowledge and expertise in the specialty coffee industry.
